Advanced Fly Fishing Workshop
Experience fly fishing in a school devoted to teaching the art and science of fly fishing. This workshop is designed to teach the joys and techniques of fly fishing to those of you who are at an intermediate level or have many years of fly fishing experience.
You will learn advanced fly fishing skills and tactics in the following categories: how to choose the right equipment; fly casting; knot tying; how to read the water, both stillwaters and moving systems, i.e., ponds and streams.
Our goal is to have you fly casting more efficiently, by casting further and more accurately, so that you will be able to fly fish with tremendous confidence.
You will learn to find and identify trout stream insects through a basic and intermediate study of (Entomology), the study of insects.
How to play and land fish so that they may be released unharmed.
You will learn how to choose the right fly so that it imitates the natural insect or forage.
Classes are small so our instructors can offer plenty of individual attention.
Workshop Fee:
$100.00/hour per person (minimum three hours).
Workshop Hours:
Start time is at 9 AM; Lunch is from Noon to 1 PM; Afternoon workshops from 1-4 PM.
